Never Thought I’d Be Here

No parent imagines their child will be the one, THE ONE, who gets diagnosed with a progressive, debilitating disease.  I’m Wendy, the mom of a boy newly diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.  The mom on the receiving end of those looks–the well-meaning looks of sadness, the looks of pity, and yes, the looks of relief from others who are grateful it’s me and not them.  Can you blame them?  So here we go. . .  my diary, my story, my experience of “after.”
